Senior Frontend Engineer (FinTech)

Location: Hybrid work with 1 day per week in the office in Kraków or Warsaw, Poland.

Salary: 120–150 PLN/hour on a B2B contract.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and evolve microfrontend architectures for digital payment applications.
• Analyse and improve frontend performance, including Core Web Vitals, responsiveness, profiling, and bundle analysis.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and technical specifications through implementation, testing, and production releases.
• Develop and maintain integrations with backend systems through REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Implement interactive real-time features using Server-Sent Events and comparable technologies.
• Build secure, reliable, user-friendly payment interfaces and improve frontend tooling and developer workflows.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial experience developing modern frontend applications.
• Strong hands-on TypeScript experience and practical experience with at least one of React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience designing and implementing microfrontend architectures.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and executing automated end-to-end tests with Playwright or similar frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of frontend performance optimisation, including Core Web Vitals, application profiling, and bundle analysis.
• Proven experience integrating frontend applications with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, feature flags, and progressive delivery practices.
• Regular use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or equivalent solutions.
• Very good English and Polish are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, FinTech, or e-commerce products and applications.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, Content Security Policy configuration, and secure browser-based application architectures.
• Knowledge of web accessibility guidelines, particularly WCAG.
• Additional backend experience with Node.js, Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience designing or developing embeddable frontend widgets or SDKs.
