Part Time Content Creator (Video Production)

Location: Hybrid in Mokena, Illinois, United States; on shoot days, work on-site at client locations across Chicagoland or at the Mokena office. This is not a fully remote role.

Salary: $23.00–$28.00/hour

hirify.global is a video and photo production company that creates social media content for brands through small, dedicated client pods.

What you will do

• Own creative production for assigned clients from pre-shoot planning through final delivery.
• Shoot short-form video and photography on location at client sites.
• Edit social content in DaVinci Resolve, focusing on hooks, pacing, captions, and format.
• Review creative briefs, build shot lists, coordinate gear, and prepare for shoots.
• Direct non-actors on camera and manage client-facing sessions on set.
• Organize footage, maintain version control, deliver files to specification, and collaborate with the strategist and social media manager on priorities and deadlines.

Requirements

• Portfolio or reel demonstrating video and/or photography work; personal, academic, and freelance projects are accepted for the junior level.
• For the Content Producer level: 1–3 years of professional experience producing video and/or photo content, plus an end-to-end portfolio showing work that was shot, edited, and delivered.
• Familiarity with camera systems, basic lighting, and audio recording.
• Working knowledge of Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro; proficiency in DaVinci Resolve and Lightroom is expected for the Content Producer level.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational habits.
• Comfort directing non-actors and working on set with clients present for the Content Producer level.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work on location; the role is not fully remote.

Nice to have

• Experience creating content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or LinkedIn.
• Familiarity with Asana or a similar project management tool.
