Senior Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Engineer (Azure)

Location: Remote USA; other listed locations are Fort Mill, SC and Coppell, TX.

What you will do

• Design, implement, support, and optimize hybrid on-premises and Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and virtualization.
• Support the Homeowner Portal and other customer-facing and internal applications through scalable, secure hosting platforms, web services, APIs, authentication, databases, and application delivery services.
• Build Infrastructure as Code, automation scripts, workflows, and deployment pipelines while supporting CI/CD and release activities.
• Support enterprise networking and security, including routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, and Zero Trust principles.
• Design and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant environments with load balancing, redundancy, failover, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities.
• Resolve advanced infrastructure and platform incidents, perform root cause analysis, support major outage response, and improve operational reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure environments, including 3+ years supporting Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises architectures, highly available mission-critical production environments, and customer-facing web applications or digital platforms.
• Strong networking knowledge covering routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, load balancing, and network security, plus strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across technology domains.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access, MFA, Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, WAF, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, virtual networking, enterprise storage, backup and recovery, Azure Site Recovery, VMware SRM, Zerto, or similar resiliency platforms.
• Strong PowerShell scripting experience and experience with infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code, Git-based source control, automated deployment workflows, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, Kubernetes or AKS, Azure App Services, cloud-native application hosting, SQL platforms, cloud databases, observability platforms such as Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk, and API management or integration platforms.
• Strong understanding of BCP and DR principles, including failover, redundancy, backup, recovery, resiliency, disaster recovery testing, and recovery validation.
• Understanding of OWASP security principles, secure application delivery, and cloud architecture for customer-facing SaaS or web-based platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience is considered.

• Relevant Microsoft, VMware, networking, cloud, or security certifications, including AZ-104, AZ-700, or AZ-305.
