Junior Embedded Systems & Electronics Engineer (C/C++/Altium)

What you will do

• Develop, test, and maintain C/C++ firmware for sensor microcontrollers.
• Implement signal acquisition, filtering, and calibration routines, including communication through EtherCAT, CAN, USB, and serial interfaces.
• Design schematics and PCB layouts in Altium, participate in design reviews, and maintain shared component libraries.
• Assemble, solder, rework, bring up, debug, and validate prototype boards in the lab.
• Build and improve test setups and scripts for development, calibration, and end-of-line testing.
• Analyze field and production issues, identify root causes, and document designs, firmware releases, and test procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, computer engineering, or a similar field; recent graduates are welcome.
• Strong hands-on soldering skills, including through-hole and fine-pitch SMD soldering and rework.
• Experience testing and debugging boards with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and debuggers.
• Altium Designer experience with schematics, PCB layout, collaborative projects, version control, design reviews, and shared component libraries.
• Solid C/C++ skills for embedded systems such as ARM Cortex-M or STM32.
• Good understanding of analog and digital electronics.
• Curiosity, a hands-on approach, eagerness to learn, and ownership of assigned tasks.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EtherCAT, CAN, or RTOS.
• Experience with signal processing, sensors, or low-noise analog front ends.
• Python for test automation and data analysis.
• Projects from studies, internships, or hobbies that can be demonstrated.
• German language skills.
