Senior Software QA Engineer (Web)

Location: Remote, with Barcelona, Spain listed as an additional location. The workplace information also describes a hybrid working mode, with up to 3 months per year of work from anywhere.

Salary: €50,000–€60,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Perform manual, functional, regression, performance, and load testing.
• Automate testing processes and maintain reliable test frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to deliver high-quality products.
• Define clear, testable acceptance criteria and lead QA efforts across projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in test automation and scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, and JUnit.
• Experience with manual testing techniques and methodologies.
• Proven experience leading QA projects and teams, including guiding junior team members.
• Experience developing and maintaining test documentation.
• Strong understanding of web technologies and web performance testing tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of Git and understanding of API testing with tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and maintain quality.
• Adaptability, attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn new technologies.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.
• Experience testing cloud-based applications and cloud environments.
• Quality assurance certifications such as ISTQB.
