Mechatronics Development Engineer Specialising in Product Maintenance (M/F/D)

Location: Wels, Austria; full-time role with home office listed as a benefit.

Minimum gross basic salary: EUR 48,413 per year based on full-time employment; higher salary possible depending on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Handle product maintenance and improvement activities across the existing product portfolio in coordination with product owners.
• Optimize assemblies and components for cost, quality, and manufacturability while observing applicable standards and legal requirements.
• Implement improvement and savings opportunities with purchasing, production, assembly, and other internal interfaces.
• Maintain and update value-chain tools and processes, including a BOM generator.
• Maintain technical, assembly, spare-parts, and product documentation as well as risk assessments.

Requirements

• Completed technical education at HTL level or higher in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or automation technology.
• Practical technical understanding and interest in optimizing existing products and assemblies.
• Confident use of CAD systems such as SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D.
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style with strong implementation competence.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with interdisciplinary interfaces and external partners.
• Good written and spoken English and German skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with task and project tracking tools such as Jira.
