Product Engineer - Automotive ICs (m/f/d)

Location: Gratkorn, Austria; other locations include Bangkok and Caen. The role is full-time and includes home-office availability and flexible working time.

What you will do

• Own released automotive IC products within the supply chain.
• Define, drive, and document product characterization and qualification activities.
• Support the ramp-up of new products, particularly in UWB and RF/LF areas.
• Track, analyze, and report product cost and quality performance.
• Drive continuous improvements in cost, quality, and technical performance.
• Lead and support operations projects, including backend second-sourcing activities.

Requirements

• Degree from a Technical University or University of Applied Sciences in physics, electronics, information and computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including product engineering or a comparable role.
• Basic understanding of statistics and strong project management skills.
• Strong customer-oriented mindset and a structured, analytical approach.
• Effective and confident communication across different teams and functions.
• Proficiency in English.
• Because the role may include security-related tasks and security certifications, a conscious and reliable working style is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with quality management methods such as FMEA, DOE, and 8D.
• Knowledge of quality engineering, IC fabrication, and IC testing.
• AI know-how.
