Senior Oracle DB Developer

Location: Brussels, Belgium, with two remote days per week

What you will do

• Design and validate relational data models in 3NF based on functional analysis.
• Design and validate Data Vault, Star Schema, and similar data architectures.
• Implement data models and business logic in SQL and PL/SQL on Oracle databases.
• Manage code promotion and deployment scripts across development, test, acceptance, and production environments.
• Analyze and optimize database and application performance through SQL and PL/SQL tuning.
• Contribute to peer reviews and maintain current technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of Oracle database development experience.
• At least 5 years of SQL and PL/SQL development experience.
• Strong relational data modeling skills, including ERD and 3NF.
• Experience designing Data Vault and Star Schema architectures.
• Daily experience with Git as a source code manager.
• Practical experience with Scrum and Agile ways of working.
• Experience with SQL and PL/SQL performance optimization, Jira, and general database administration, including security, tablespaces, and schemas.
• Native-level Dutch or French and B1-level proficiency in the other national language.
• B2-level working English.
• Understanding of IT landscapes and business stakes in large industrial or railway environments, with the ability to integrate into existing teams.
• Strong presentation skills, professional attitude, clear stakeholder and management communication, and a structured, disciplined, long-term approach.
