Show Director - Seasonal (Broadcast Production)

Location: Miami, Florida, United States; on-site work may be required for extended periods, including during tropical storms or hurricanes.

What you will do

• Create and edit rundowns in iNEWS and code Ross Overdrive automation.
• Direct assigned shows and coordinate producers, technical crew, staging requirements, graphics, music, audio, and other presentation elements.
• Perform Technical Director duties, including manual operations and building or modifying Ross Vision switcher and automation effects.
• Edit TemplateEditor templates, manage DirectControl audio faders, and create switcher and server backups.
• Provide creative input on show presentation, set design, and shot selection.
• Direct and support the technical crew, including performance reviews, goal setting, and ongoing feedback.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent work experience in Broadcast Communications.
• 5–10 years of experience producing or directing studio programs with automation and manual operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of production switchers, Ross Vision switchers, Ross CamBot robotic camera systems, TV studio and control-room equipment, and studio and remote productions.
• Computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
• Ability to make quick decisions, give clear and accurate instructions, multitask, prioritize, and perform under pressure during breaking news situations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; attendance at pre-production meetings and calls is required.
• Comfort using Ross Overdrive, iNEWS, Ross CamBot, VizRT Trio, playback devices, Calrec Audio Console, Enco, Miranda Router, and EVS.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
• Availability for regular and on-call work across days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays, including without advance notice, is required.
