Experienced Software Engineer (Space Simulators)

hirify.global delivers simulator products, software, and hybrid benches for the development, validation, and operation of space assets, primarily satellites.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain simulation core products, emulators, and satellite-equipment models.
• Integrate, configure, validate, and deploy simulator software and systems.
• Support software integration, system integration, simulator deployment, and simulator protection where required.
• Support simulator users and customers.
• Contribute to product roadmaps and proposals.

Requirements

• C++ development of complex software.
• Software anomaly analysis and debugging.
• Experience with Git and GitLab, build tools such as Ant or Maven, and CI tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Linux operating-system experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Aerospace Systems, or a related field, or demonstrated strong professional experience in the required topics.
• At least 2–3 years of industrial software-development experience, ideally with critical-mission systems; more than 4 years of overall software-development experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, autonomy, collaboration, and user- and client-oriented skills.
• Advanced proficiency in both French and English is required.
• Security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience in highly regulated industries, preferably defense, aerospace, or government.
• Java, Python, Eclipse RCP, or EMF.
• Real-time and embedded systems, communication data buses, software/hardware integration, simulation and modelling, or validation of critical systems.
• DevSecOps, virtual machines, containers, OS hardening, IT infrastructure and networks, or cybersecurity-related aspects.
• Software-product cybersecurity, including anti-reverse-engineering and anti-tampering.
• Software compilers.
