Software & Systems Integration Engineer – Mission Data

Location: Aurora, Colorado, United States; no remote or telework allowed.

Salary: $135,035.83–$234,801.11 projected annual compensation range.

What you will do

• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for ephemeris, ancillary data, and mission data services.
• Map and analyze end-to-end mission data flows, including generation, transport, interfaces, receipt, processing, and consumption.
• Assess network connectivity and system interfaces supporting mission-critical data exchanges.
• Develop, analyze, and maintain technical requirements; support requests for change, engineering changes, interface modifications, and configuration management.
• Lead root-cause analysis of complex data exchange issues and evaluate the effects of software, network, and architecture changes.
• Collaborate with developers, network and systems engineers, mission operators, government stakeholders, and external program partners during reviews, integration events, testing, and modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 10–12 years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree with 8–10 years; PhD with 5–7 years; or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ephemeris, ancillary data, or comparable mission-critical space or ground data products.
• Significant experience with software-intensive mission systems, mission data architectures, network connectivity, data flows, and system dependencies.
• Experience developing, evaluating, and documenting technical requirements and interface control documents.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills, with the ability to provide independent and objective technical recommendations in a government SETA environment.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Intelligence Community space and ground systems.
• Understanding of orbital or mission planning data and associated ground processing systems.
• Familiarity with modern software architectures, APIs, cloud environments, DevSecOps, or automated data services.
• Experience managing transitions and modernization efforts for legacy data infrastructures.
