What you will do

• Set technology strategy and architecture while modernizing the business-critical platform without disrupting live operations.
• Lead decomposition of the central architecture into isolated, resilient building blocks and prepare the platform for 2x peak volume.
• Establish mature observability, reliability, security practices, engineering standards, and scalable compliance processes.
• Build trusted data ingestion, transformation, governance, and reporting layers across operational dashboards and Board reporting.
• Lead Engineering, Product, and Data delivery through clear ownership, accountability, priorities, and high execution standards.
• Scale AI-driven optimization and automation to improve engineering productivity and operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head of Engineering, VP Engineering, or senior engineering leader in a high-growth, operationally intensive business where technology supports live, real-world operations.
• Experience modernizing business-critical systems without disrupting daily operations while balancing architecture, reliability, execution, and immediate business needs.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience building, scaling, and modernizing complex platforms.
• Track record of improving engineering performance and delivery through clear priorities, accountability, and high standards.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, distributed systems, scalability, observability, and cost efficiency, ideally with AWS.
• Experience working across Product, Engineering, and Data and translating business priorities into technology decisions and measurable outcomes.
• Fluent English required. Swedish is a plus.

• Experience with data platforms, real-time systems, and optimization.
• Swedish language skills.
