Data Expansion Architect (Data/AI)

Location: Hybrid in Spain or Italy, including Milan, Verona, and Florence

What you will do

• Design scalable, resilient data architectures aligned with business objectives.
• Define models and standards for data management, integration, storage, processing, governance, security, and consumption.
• Lead the development of modern data platforms with a focus on scalability, governance, security, and operational efficiency.
• Support digital transformation toward flexible, distributed, and data-as-a-product-oriented ecosystems.
• Translate functional requirements into sustainable architectural solutions with technical and business stakeholders.
• Promote data quality, observability, lifecycle management, DataOps, continuous improvement, and reusable architectural frameworks.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Solid experience designing and evolving data architectures in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of modern data management and exploitation models, distributed architectures, and analytical architectures.
• Ability to define end-to-end solutions covering data integration, storage, processing, governance, security, and consumption.
• Experience collaborating with technical and business teams as a technical reference and facilitator of decision-making.
• Knowledge of data quality, automation, observability, and data platform governance best practices.
• Innovative mindset, continuous improvement orientation, and ability to assess new trends and approaches in the data ecosystem.
• English proficiency sufficient for collaboration in international environments.

• Experience leading data platform modernization and transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of data-driven organizational models, corporate governance, and Data Driven strategies.
• Experience with advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, or industrialization of analytical capabilities.
