SAP FS-CM Consultant Developer

Location: Hybrid role at a client site in Brussels, Belgium

What you will do

• Analyze claims and operations requirements and translate them into SAP FS-CM solutions.
• Configure Claims Product Configuration, Claim Process Model, status management, reserves, payments, subrogation/recovery, fraud management, and claims analytics integration.
• Manage integrations with SAP FS-CD, SAP FS-PM, FICO/GL, and external systems such as medical providers and repair shops.
• Design and document RICEF functional specifications and develop ABAP/ABAP OO programs, BAdIs, User Exits, and enhancement points.
• Conduct unit, integration, and UAT testing; provide training and documentation.
• Troubleshoot configuration and ABAP issues and support upgrades, patching, debugging, and performance optimization.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of dedicated, hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP FS-CM.
• Expert knowledge of FS-CM technical and functional architecture, including Claim Header, Claim Item, Participant, and Claim Handler's Desktop.
• Proficiency configuring the Claim Process Model and Coverage Determination, with deep understanding of payments and reserves.
• Advanced ABAP programming skills and experience with FS-CM development objects, custom events, enhancements, debugging, and performance analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in both functional customizing and ABAP development within FS-CM.
• Strong understanding of claims business processes in at least one major insurance line: P&C/Non-Life, Health, or Auto.
• Strong integration knowledge or experience with FS-PM and FS-CD, plus familiarity with SAP data models, particularly in FS-CM.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
