SAP FS-CD Functional Consultant

Location: Hybrid client-site role in Brussels, Belgium

What you will do

• Analyse insurance requirements for collections, payments, receivables, disbursements, and account management, and conduct workshops with business stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications, SAP solution designs, process documentation, and configuration decisions.
• Configure and maintain SAP FS-CD, including the Process Model and FI-CO integration, while favouring standard SAP functionality over unnecessary custom development.
• Define interface, posting, accounting, conversion, enhancement, report, and form requirements, collaborating with technical teams on APIs, jobs, interfaces, and data flows.
• Analyse integration errors, support reconciliation between source applications, FS-CD, and financial accounting, and identify whether issues arise from data, configuration, interfaces, or custom development.
• Conduct unit, integration, and User Acceptance Testing, and provide training and comprehensive documentation.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of SAP FS-CD functional architecture.
• Proficiency configuring the FS-CD subledger Process Model and defining G/L integration with SAP FI-CO.
• At least 4 years of dedicated, hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP FS-CD.
• Strong expertise integrating SAP Core Insurance systems, including FS-PM, FS-CM, and FS-ICM.
• Strong understanding of collection and payment processes in at least one major insurance line: P&C/Non-Life, Health, or Auto.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• English is required. Dutch or French is listed among the required skills.
