Finance Data Analyst (AI)

Location: NYC Office, United States; onsite. Paid relocation support to NYC is available.

Salary: $125K–$175K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Partner with the SVP of Finance as the lead finance analyst, translating open-ended questions into data-backed recommendations.
• Design and own the finance data layer in Snowflake and BI tooling, including documented models and pipelines integrating ERP, CRM, billing, payroll, and operational data.
• Define and maintain core metrics in the semantic layer for reliable reporting by people and AI agents.
• Use AI and automation for reconciliations, anomaly detection, self-serve reporting, and other manual finance and revenue-operations work.
• Use advanced SQL to investigate complex datasets, explain performance drivers, quantify opportunities, and provide recommendations.
• Turn analysis into clear narratives for executives, the board, and investors.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience as a data analyst, business analyst, or analytics engineer, ideally partnering with Finance or FP&A.
• Advanced SQL skills, especially debugging complex logic.
• Hands-on experience building models in dbt or a similar transformation framework.
• Experience turning data into recommendations that stakeholders act on.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including explaining complex analysis to senior leadership.
• Current use of AI to work faster, such as automating repetitive tasks or drafting first-pass analyses.

Nice to have

• Experience with BI tools such as Sigma, Omni, Looker, Hex, or Tableau.
• Experience with SaaS finance and CRM data.
• Interest in early-stage startups and high-ownership roles.
