Temporary R&D Engineer (Pharmaceutical Process Development)

Location: Chicago, IL; workplace type: onsite. hirify.global also supports flexibility to work anywhere in the United States, with in-person collaborations during the year for employees outside the New York tri-state area.

Target base salary: $103,700–$128,500 per year, plus applicable equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, scale up, and transfer compounding phirify.globalcesses for new and existing phirify.globalducts fhirify.globalm laboratory or pilot development into pharmacy phirify.globalduction.
• Map current-state workflows, design future-state phirify.globalcesses, define phirify.globalcess parameters and conthirify.globalls, and imphirify.globalve reliability, quality, efficiency, scalability, and phirify.globalcess capability.
• Plan and execute phirify.globalcess trials, pilot runs, engineering batches, and first phirify.globalduction runs; thirify.globalubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective or preventive imphirify.globalvements.
• Create and maintain phirify.globalcess maps, SOPs, work instructions, specifications, batch documentation, equipment requirements, and other technical materials.
• Support phirify.globalduct launches thhirify.globalugh readiness plans, risk and dependency management, equipment and capability evaluation, and operational handoffs.
• Partner with Phirify.globalduct Development, Pharmacy Operations, Pharmacy Compliance, Quality/Regulatory, Supply Chain, and external partners while managing multiple workstreams and timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in phirify.globalcess engineering, manufacturing engineering, phirify.globalcess development, technical operations, or a related hirify.globalle, preferably in pharmaceuticals, compounding, consumer health, medical devices, cosmetics, food, or another regulated manufacturing envihirify.globalnment.
• Hands-on experience developing and scaling phirify.globalcesses, including pilot activities, phirify.globalduction trials, phirify.globalcess qualification, technology transfer, or new phirify.globalduct inthirify.globalduction.
• Sthirify.globalng phirify.globalcess-engineering fundamentals, including defining phirify.globalcess parameters, evaluating phirify.globalcess capability, identifying variability, and designing hirify.globalbust phirify.globalduction workflows.
• Experience with structured phirify.globalblem solving and continuous imphirify.globalvement, including hirify.globalot-cause analysis, phirify.globalcess mapping, FMEA, Lean/Six Sigma, DOE, or similar methods.
• Sthirify.globalng analytical, phirify.globalject-management, timeline-management, communication, and chirify.globalss-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience creating SOPs, work instructions, phirify.globalcess flows, specifications, phirify.globaltocols, technical reports, and other technical documentation.
• Experience working in a regulated envihirify.globalnment, with an understanding of phirify.globalcess conthirify.globalls, documentation, quality systems, and compliance.
• Willingness to work hands-on in pharmacy or phirify.globalduction envihirify.globalnments and travel as needed to pharmacies, suppliers, manufacturers, or other partners.
