Senior AI Enablement Engineer (AI)

Location: Boston, MA, United States; hybrid work

Salary: $150K–$205K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Partner with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, People, and Engineering to map workflows, identify friction, and define AI enablement goals and success metrics.
• Design, build, and operate AI-powered workflows, agents, automations, and production systems.
• Integrate AI with CRM, finance, HR, support, collaboration, and data platforms using APIs, MCP servers, iPaaS tools, and custom code.
• Build reusable templates, skills, documentation, deployment paths, self-service tools, and internal agent-builder experiences.
• Implement or select capabilities for identity and access, data permissions, logging, evaluation, human review, monitoring, and AI spend controls.
• Evaluate vendors, define AI usage standards, track adoption and outcomes, report spend, train employees, and document systems for repeatable use.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a technical role such as software engineering, IT or systems engineering, solutions or sales engineering, automation, or internal tools.
• Hands-on coding in Python, TypeScript, or similar; solid SQL; and experience with REST APIs and webhooks.
• Deep personal use of modern AI tools, including coding agents, LLM APIs, MCP, agent skills or custom GPTs, and retrieval patterns, with the ability to show how usage changed over the last year.
• Experience building tools, automations, or AI workflows that changed how a real team works, with specific examples and results.
• Working knowledge of SSO, SCIM, OAuth scopes, service accounts, least privilege, and carrying data permissions into AI tools.
• Ability to define quality criteria, test outputs, and own results.
• Ability to build trust with non-technical teams, facilitate workshops and training, explain technical concepts to diverse audiences, and work effectively with ambiguity.
• Practical knowledge of Claude Code, Claude Desktop, or Cursor, including model capabilities, limitations, and prompting approaches.

Nice to have

• Experience as a forward-deployed engineer, solutions engineer, or consultant delivering results inside another organization.
• Experience with iPaaS or workflow tools such as Workato, Zapier, n8n, or Make, and enterprise AI platforms.
• Familiarity with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework or SOC 2-style security programs.
• Experience with data warehouses, data pipelines, retrieval systems, cloud infrastructure, cloud cost management, or SaaS spend management.
• Experience leading change across skeptical teams or building effective internal training programs.
