Business System Analyst (Tax & Customers)

Location: Europe; remote work is available, with Warsaw, Kyiv, and Lviv listed as locations.

What you will do

• Translate product ideas into user stories, acceptance criteria, and development-ready specifications.
• Analyze internal and third-party REST/JSON APIs, map data flows, and document system interactions.
• Shape merchant-facing tax product flows covering nexus monitoring, tax filing, and related functionality.
• Clarify business logic, identify edge cases, and remove ambiguity before development.
• Align engineering, product, and finance stakeholders around shared requirements.
• Maintain documentation as the source of truth for product and system logic.

Requirements

• 1–2+ years of experience as a Business, Product, or System Analyst in a product company.
• Hands-on experience working with engineering teams and third-party API integrations using REST/JSON.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge cases.
• Ability to analyze APIs, understand system interactions, and visualize data flows.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, diagramming tools, and basic SQL.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile development.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, clarify requirements independently, and work across technical and business challenges.
• English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
• Motivation to grow into a Product Manager role.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, billing, SaaS, or other complex product domains.
• Familiarity with VAT, sales tax, nexus, or filing concepts.
• Exposure to product management and product discovery.
