What you will do

• Provide scientific direction for systems toxicology and omics-based safety assessment.
• Lead integrated analyses combining transcriptomics with proteomics, metabolomics, imaging, pathology, and functional assays.
• Generate and prioritize mechanistic hypotheses using pathway analysis, network biology, molecular signatures, and biological knowledge.
• Establish reproducible, scalable workflows for data processing, quality assessment, statistical analysis, visualization, and reporting.
• Lead cross-functional investigations across Preclinical Safety and connect molecular mechanisms to safety decisions.
• Mentor scientists and communicate integrated findings to project toxicologists, scientific advisors, project teams, and senior leaders.

Requirements

• MS plus 8 years of experience or PhD plus 5 years of experience.
• Expertise in systems biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related discipline, with extensive research experience and independent leadership of complex investigations.
• Deep hands-on expertise in transcriptomics and experience integrating multiple molecular or phenotypic data types.
• Strong proficiency in R and/or Python and relevant bioinformatics tools.
• Expertise in pathway analysis, network analysis, molecular signatures, and hypothesis generation.
• Substantial experience applying systems approaches to toxicology, safety assessment, or related mechanistic research in pharmaceutical or biotechnology settings.
• Understanding of preclinical safety translation to human safety and the ability to connect digital toxicology with broader R&D strategy.
• Ability to communicate complex analyses clearly across experimental, computational, project, and senior leadership audiences.
