What you will do

  • Lead analytical validation strategy for NGS-based assays, including feasibility and performance studies such as PPA and LoD.
  • Drive real-world evidence studies for therapy selection and patient management, from cohort selection through plasma mutation-call analysis.
  • Build rapid prototypes, custom analysis pipelines, and tools integrating data from multiple hirify.global products.
  • Contribute to production bioinformatics pipelines, regulatory submissions, clinical study reports, and scientific publications.
  • Consult internally on bioinformatics methodology and collaborate with assay development, engineering, biostatistics, clinical, commercial, regulatory, and laboratory operations teams.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of NGS bioinformatics tools, sequencing QC, secondary analysis, and variant calling.
  • Experience with WES, WGS, and targeted sequencing of tissue and cfDNA, including somatic SNVs, indels, CNVs, and fusion calling.
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods for assay performance evaluation and ability to collaborate with biostatisticians on study design.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, R, and shell.
  • Experience with exploratory data analysis and visualization of complex datasets, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Deep understanding of NGS workflows from sample extraction through sequencing and ability to connect bioinformatic findings with wet-lab root causes.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, work independently, manage multiple objectives and timelines, and adapt when experimental results change the plan.

Nice to have

  • Experience with regulated or clinical-grade assay development, including CLIA/CAP requirements and FDA submissions.
  • Familiarity with clinical genomics, oncogenic drivers, actionable biomarkers, targeted therapies, and oncology variant interpretation.
  • Experience analyzing translational or real-world data and integrating clinical and genomic datasets.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work in a small, fast-paced, high-impact interdisciplinary team.
  • Eligible employees and dependents receive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage.
