Senior Business Analyst (Public Sector & Utilities)

What you will do

• Engage with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and objectives.
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Analyse business processes and workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and develop process maps, use cases and supporting documentation.
• Align business stakeholders and technical teams on project objectives and deliverables.
• Support business cases, feasibility assessments, cost-benefit analyses, user acceptance testing planning and solution validation.
• Provide guidance on business analysis approaches, tools and standards, while tracking developments in data utilisation and public sector transformation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience as a Business Analyst on data analytics, digital transformation or technology-enabled projects.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and producing user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, use cases and functional specifications.
• Ability to analyse business challenges and translate requirements into practical solutions.
• Effective communication with stakeholders at different organisational levels, with experience working independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality outcomes.
• Experience using DevOps tools and practices, Power BI, and Agile, Scrum or similar delivery methodologies.

Nice to have

• Agile or Scrum certification.
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience supporting public sector organisations or multi-agency and cross-department programmes.
• Knowledge of housing-related datasets, reporting requirements or government programmes.
• Experience contributing to data analytics initiatives and reporting projects.
