2027 Summer Internship (US) - Systems Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid work in Germantown, Maryland, with 3 days per week in the office.

Salary: USD $33.00–$40.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform competitive benchmark tests and analyze results.
• Research and analyze new product requirements.
• Evaluate next-generation product platforms.
• Profile performance, including power consumption and process capability.
• Develop test applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development and product requirement documents.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
• Expected graduation: May 2027–2028 for undergraduate students or May 2027–2029 for master's students.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience with C++ or C.
• Experience with Python programming.
• Experience with AI/ML.

Nice to have

• Android or .NET programming.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with technology solutions.
• MongoDB or SQL databases, including PostgreSQL.
• Git/GitHub, unit testing with JUnit or Mockito, and CI/CD.
• Google Cloud, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or LLM evaluation.
• Experience with AI coding assistants such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
• Interest in retail operations or workforce/task management software.
• Commitment to ethical behavior and confidentiality.
