Accountant (Ecommerce)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: From €1,700 gross per month, depending on experience

What you will do

• Book incoming invoices, verify their correctness, and process payment transactions.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and the preparation of financial statements.
• Account for and report fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
• Process intercompany transactions, issue outgoing invoices, and reconcile balances with group companies.
• Prepare and analyse accounts payable aging, fixed asset, and other reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with suppliers, purchasing teams, and internal departments to improve finance processes and maintain compliance and controls.

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or General Ledger.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial closing processes.
• Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Ability to analyse discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
• Systematic, accurate, and detail-oriented working style; ability to work independently, in an international team, under pressure, and to meet deadlines.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and intercompany transactions.
• German language skills.
