Hardware Engineer

Location: Richmond, BC, Canada; the role involves substantial lab work in the Richmond office.

Salary: CAD 100,000–125,000 per year, with potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Review schematics, PCB layouts, test results, and supplier work, primarily from suppliers in Asia, and communicate feedback through written reviews and video calls.
• Evaluate components for future projects and design circuits when needed.
• Perform manual bench testing and automated testing with scripts across battery charging and discharging, EMI coexistence, power consumption, and product functionality.
• Root-cause hardware issues and propose fixes with support from other engineers.
• Prepare clear test and data reports for engineering review.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the electronics industry.
• BSEE or higher.
• Experience making measurements with oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and power analyzers.
• Experience compiling test data reports using Excel or similar tools.
• Experience using test scripts such as Python.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under manager supervision, review engineering work when needed, and communicate results and issues clearly.
