Technical Programme Manager (Retail)

Location: Hybrid role based in Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom; 60% of the week is spent at office locations or local sites and the remainder remotely.

What you will do

• Lead Stores Operations technology programmes across Tesco Group.
• Define and deliver changes that embed new applications, devices, and technology into stores.
• Build platform capabilities supporting colleague tasks, communication, and connected workforce experiences.
• Identify, track, and make issues, risks, and dependencies visible while working with Product and Engineering teams on resolution and mitigation.
• Assess trade-offs and impacts and communicate them to Product, Infrastructure, and Engineering for informed decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, business stakeholders, Engineering teams, suppliers, third parties, and Technology and Programme colleagues.

Requirements

• Proven record of delivering technology software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Resilience during incidents or change while continuing delivery.
• Strong project, stakeholder, and programme management skills.
• Experience identifying and managing issues, risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and impacts.

Nice to have

• Experience working with multiple teams to deliver expected outcomes.
• Experience working with suppliers and third parties.
• Finance management experience.
