Data Consultant (Business Analytics)

What you will do

• Deliver data consulting services to clients and provide recommendations that improve project scalability.
• Process data and develop ETL/ELT processes.
• Support data model and architecture design on Azure, AWS, Snowflake, or similar cloud platforms under architect guidance.
• Analyze, design, and develop data engineering solutions for Business Intelligence and Big Data projects.
• Produce accurate, high-quality outputs while communicating clearly and adapting to different clients and business contexts.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with data.
• Strong understanding of designing and implementing data warehouses, data lakes, or data lakehouses.
• Demonstrable experience implementing Slowly Changing Dimensions types 0, 1, and 2.
• Strong understanding of data integration techniques and solution/performance optimization.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL, Python, or Spark.
• Ability to apply data modeling techniques such as star and Snowflake schemas.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach and ability to navigate uncertainty.
• Coaching and mentoring experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Git, JIRA, and backlog management tools.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.
• Experience with Matillion, Talend, Pentaho, or SSIS.
• Experience with Databricks, dbt, or Fivetran.
• Experience with Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, or Redshift.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Analytical, visualization, and data science skills.
• Strong understanding of Matillion architecture and access control.
