Head of ASEAN, Applied AI

Location: Singapore; hybrid policy requires all staff to work from one of the company’s offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office attendance. The role includes regular travel to customer sites across ASEAN.

What you will do

• Build and manage the foundational ASEAN Applied AI team, including Solutions Architects and Product Engineers, with technical guidance, goal-setting, reviews, coaching, and career development.
• Lead technical pre-sales engagements for high-value enterprise customers, including use-case scoping, technical champion development, compelling demonstrations, proof-of-concept execution, and ROI validation.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and GTM leadership to define customer adoption strategies and deliver AI solutions for enterprise products and platforms.
• Represent Anthropic through executive customer sessions, technical workshops, conferences, webinars, and technical content across ASEAN.
• Define the regional vision, strategy, processes, and best practices for safe and beneficial AI solutions, including innovative applications of Anthropic’s latest models.
• Monitor AI/ML trends, competition, and regulatory requirements across ASEAN enterprise sectors, including financial services, government, and resources.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or in a similar pre-sales technical role.
• 5+ years of technical go-to-market management experience, specifically managing pre-sales teams.
• Experience with ASEAN enterprise customers, local business culture, procurement processes, decision-making dynamics, and enterprise technical procurement.
• Familiarity with the ASEAN regulatory landscape, including Singapore Privacy Principles, APRA CPS 234, and data sovereignty requirements.
• Deep technical proficiency with enterprise AI deployments, API integrations, production LLM use cases, developer tooling, SDKs, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, and architecting AI-powered systems; at least high-level familiarity with large language model and/or ML architecture and operation.
• Strong communication, collaboration, coaching, executive presence, and relationship-building abilities with technical and engineering leaders.
• Ability to build foundational teams in an unstructured environment, handle ambiguity, clarify complex problems, and operate in a fast-moving technology environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
