What you will do

• Lead and manage an automation engineering team within Manufacturing Engineering.
• Develop, deploy, and administer MES Harvest processes, manufacturing data reporting, dashboards, data warehouses, and automated equipment.
• Lead software lifecycle management by establishing a controlled application development and release environment from prototype through manufacturing within six months of joining.
• Create manufacturing workflows and programs, including automated label printing, using databases and programming technologies.
• Integrate ERP, PLM, payroll, equipment, and MES systems, and lead automated data integration.
• Lead change management, train end users, conduct system audits and upgrades, and ensure system reliability and compliance with GMP, MIL, ISO9001, and AS9100 standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, and/or Mathematics.
• 10+ years of experience with software and/or automation projects.
• Fluent SQL skills, including hands-on experience extracting data for complex analytics.
• Strong understanding of APIs, system integration, and cloud platforms including AWS, GovCloud, Azure, and GCP.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and practices.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project.
• Interpersonal skills for effective interaction with staff, customers, and suppliers.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools such as OpenAI and Azure AI.
• Ongoing employment is dependent on meeting U.S. Government export-control requirements; candidates must be U.S. Persons or collaborate with the company to obtain the necessary export authorizations.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience with Aegis and/or Oracle MES systems.
• Experience with Kaizen and continuous-improvement tools.
