Engineering Manager, Robotics Hardware

Location: Watertown, Massachusetts, US; onsite

Base salary: $190,000–$300,000 per year, depending on experience.

hirify.global is a robotics research and deployment company building generally capable robot hardware and artificial intelligence, manufacturing robots at scale and operating them across the United States.

What you will do

• Hire, manage, and grow a team of hardware engineers.
• Own a robot subsystem from concept through design, prototyping, testing, and release to manufacturing.
• Lead design reviews and make decisions resulting from them.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and field service on shipped hardware.
• Coordinate with software and research teams that depend on the hardware and its interfaces.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a strong hands-on engineer before moving into management.
• Experience running a team of several engineers.
• Experience designing and shipping electromechanical products.
• Experience taking a design into manufacturing and managing the results after launch.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.

Nice to have

• Experience with robots or products integrating mechanics, electronics, firmware, and software.
• Experience with products built in volume.
• Experience shipping one product generation while designing the next.
