Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States. Office-based roles require onsite presence Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.

Annual base salary: $196,750–$278,530 USD. Full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop full-stack solutions for understanding images, 3D models, audio, text, video, and complete experiences.
• Build scalable pipelines for evaluating and deploying machine learning models for content annotation and discovery.
• Develop backend systems for real-time search, discovery, and generative AI features.
• Apply current AI research to production-ready solutions that support asset discovery and automated moderation.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams on technical projects.

Requirements

• 6+ years of strong programming experience in at least two of Python, C#, C++, and Java, with willingness to learn additional languages.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as React or Angular.
• Practical experience building and scaling backend systems in cloud environments.
• Full-stack expertise spanning backend development and deployment of ML models in production.
• Familiarity with image or 3D object understanding, preferably in gaming or content creation.
• Strong foundation in computer vision, AI, or related fields.
• Ability to solve complex problems, take on unfamiliar challenges, and deliver results.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale search systems, generative AI, or semantic content understanding.
• Experience with modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and end-to-end ML workflows.
• Knowledge of 3D geometry or asset workflows.
