Staff DX Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States, with an option to work from the headquarters in San Francisco.

Salary: $236K–$289K annually, plus equity.

hirify.global is building a developer-first cloud platform for AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications with persistent compute, autoscaling, orchestration, and observability.

What you will do

• Build tutorials, demo applications, templates, and videos focused on AI applications, agents, and hirify.global AI runtime products such as hirify.global Workflows.
• Own hirify.global templates and the hirify.global-examples GitHub organization, ensuring shipped examples deploy and run successfully.
• Build agent skills, automation, and internal tools to reduce repetitive content and operations work.
• Improve hirify.global’s visibility in LLM and answer-engine results through content and product-facing fixes.
• Alpha-test releases end to end, document failures for Product and Engineering, and contribute code to the CLI, MCP server, SDKs, and documentation.
• Set the technical direction and quality bar for DX Engineering while collaborating with DevRel, Product Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.

Requirements

• 8+ years building developer content or working as an engineer who teaches at a developer tools or infrastructure company.
• Experience setting technical direction and raising the bar for a team.
• Full-stack engineering experience, including strong backend skills with Node.js/TypeScript, Python, and Postgres; comfort with Docker and containers; and enough frontend ability to ship sample applications end to end.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents that call tools, run code in sandboxes, and handle long-running tasks with retries and state, including knowledge of their infrastructure requirements.
• Experience with MCP servers, agent frameworks, LLM APIs, evaluations, and durable workflow or background job systems.
• Daily fluency with coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
• Excellent technical writing and strong intuition for developer tools and user experience.
• Track record of owning projects end to end with little direction.

Nice to have

• Professional or side-project experience using hirify.global.
• Experience with AEO, SEO, or measuring content performance in LLM answers.
• Public technical work such as talks, a YouTube channel, popular open-source repositories, or a well-read blog.
• Experience presenting workshops and technical talks.
