ABS Commercial / Esoteric – Analyst / Senior Analyst (NY / Chicago)

Location: New York, NY or Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid schedule with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office.

Annual base salary: $80,000–$110,000.

What you will do

• Conduct and support transaction analysis, including originator and servicer evaluation, collateral performance analysis, bond-structure modeling, and legal-structure and documentation review.
• Prepare credit memoranda and present transactions to rating committees.
• Prepare and contribute to transaction reports for publication.
• Assist with market commentaries on topical events and research.
• Conduct ongoing surveillance of rated transactions and update ratings when warranted.
• Participate in seller/servicer due diligence and travel as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Analyst level: 0–2 years of credit analysis experience within the ABS sector at a rating agency, buy-side investor, credit research organization, or similar environment.
• Senior Analyst level: 2 or more years of credit analysis experience within the ABS sector at a rating agency, buy-side investor, credit research organization, or similar environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; a writing sample may be requested.
• Strong Excel skills; an Excel test may be administered during the interview process.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate closely with partners.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of commercial ABS asset classes, including data centers, communications infrastructure, equipment, or aviation.
• Proficiency with relevant financial modeling software such as Intex.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity.
