AI Security Engineer

Location: London, UK; onsite. Candidates' eligibility is subject to U.S. export control regulations and their most recent citizenship or permanent residency status.

Salary: £139K plus equity; compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and location.

What you will do

• Build and maintain an inventory of AI tools, models, agents, and data flows.
• Secure agents through managed identities, least-privilege access, action logging, and human approvals.
• Develop controls against prompt injection, data leakage, model and package supply-chain risks, unsafe agent actions, and shadow AI.
• Harden cloud compute used to build and run AI workloads.
• Run the ISO 42001 self-assessment and integrate AI security events into the SIEM.
• Review new AI tools quickly and publish guardrails for safe adoption.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in security engineering, application security, or cloud security, including at least 2 years securing AI or ML systems, LLM applications, or agents.
• Hands-on knowledge of LLM-specific threats and mitigations.
• Experience securing agentic systems, including tool permissions, MCP servers, credentials, and human approval steps.
• AWS security and identity experience; Okta is preferred.
• Software engineering experience in Python or TypeScript.
• Daily use of AI coding tools and agents in professional work.
• Eligibility is restricted by U.S. export control regulations; applicants whose most recent citizenship or permanent residency is in Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Russia, Belarus, China, Hong Kong, Macau, or Venezuela are generally not considered unless they subsequently obtained unrestricted citizenship or permanent residency.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO 42001 or the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
