Senior Java Software Engineer (Security)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, backend services, and REST APIs for security assurance and vulnerability management.
• Integrate automated source-code, dependency, repository, software composition, and container scanning across the software development lifecycle.
• Monitor security validation, assess vulnerabilities and risk, investigate false positives, and support remediation.
• Develop automated vulnerability processing, reporting, and event-driven workflows integrated with internal platforms such as Jira.
• Build security solutions for containerized and cloud-native environments using Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering and technology teams to resolve security issues and improve secure software development practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with hands-on expertise in several of Java/Spring Boot, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Gradle, Jenkins/Groovy, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures or messaging technologies.
• Strong experience developing CI/CD, automation, and developer tooling, ideally in security-focused software delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of application security and vulnerability management, including secure software development, automated security testing, and source-code, software composition, and container scanning.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes and/or OpenShift; knowledge of OCI or comparable cloud technologies is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and deliver reliable solutions to complex technical and security challenges.
• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
