Hardware Engineer Co-op

Location: Richmond, British Columbia, Canada; onsite at hirify.global Canada

Salary: CAD$3,500–$4,000 per month

hirify.global develops smart security products using AI- and computer-vision-powered analytics, cloud services, user experience, product design, and wireless and RF connectivity.

What you will do

• Design and test baseband circuits, including switching power supplies, battery charging systems, and power consumption.
• Follow design verification test plans and document reports for wireless devices.
• Assist with assembly, rework, and debugging of wireless products.
• Gain hands-on exposure to prototype-to-mass-production development, test equipment, and BLE/WiFi technologies.
• Support the design of new IoT products for wireless networks.

Requirements

• Strong interest and knowledge in wireless data communication hardware development.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Full-time availability for an 8-month term, 40 hours per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with wireless products, especially BLE/WiFi.
• Software development, programming, and/or scripting experience.
