Senior Platform Engineer - AI / Platform Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Define and execute a platform roadmap covering CI/CD, release automation, environments, observability, developer workflows, and engineering productivity.
• Build internal tools, automation, templates, paved roads, reusable patterns, and scalable developer platforms.
• Improve local development, deployment processes, environment stability, production visibility, and release guardrails.
• Partner with product engineering teams to identify delivery bottlenecks and turn them into platform improvements.
• Use DORA, developer experience, and engineering productivity metrics to prioritize investments and measure outcomes.
• Establish AI-first workflows for coding, debugging, documentation, reviews, and automation while providing technical leadership through architecture and design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and influence.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, developer experience, engineering productivity, internal tooling, DevOps, software infrastructure, or related disciplines.
• Experience building or significantly improving platform engineering, developer experience, or shared-services functions.
• Strong hands-on engineering experience building the systems and tools being advocated.
• Experience creating scalable developer platforms, internal tooling, automation frameworks, paved roads, and reusable engineering patterns.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD, release automation, observability, cloud infrastructure, environments, and production operations.
• Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams, with strong communication and trust-building skills.
• Practical experience with AI-enabled software development focused on measurable engineering outcomes.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and modern cloud-native architectures, including ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.

Nice to have

• Go, Python, C#, .NET, Kubernetes, container orchestration, Terraform, and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
• Observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, or comparable solutions, plus developer experience and productivity measurement tools.
• AI-powered development tools, coding assistants, agent-based workflows, and automation platforms.
• Production-grade Go; large-scale C#/.NET modernization; TypeScript, React, or frontend platform engineering.
• Internal developer portals, service scaffolding, golden-path frameworks, platform-as-a-product practices, and legacy modernization in mature SaaS environments.
• Experience in payments, financial technology, accounting, eCommerce, real estate technology, or similar transactional or workflow-intensive industries.
• Security-focused engineering, compliance-aware development, policy-as-code, and access control frameworks.
