VP, Data Engineering (AI)

Location: NYC Office, United States; onsite. Paid relocation support to NYC is available.

Salary: $300K–$380K annually, plus equity and annual performance bonus.

hirify.global builds an AI operating system for CPG brands that unifies cash application, deductions, trade, and planning.

What you will do

• Own data end to end, including ingestion from product databases, event tracking, and third-party tools.
• Lead warehouse design, orchestration, pipelines, infrastructure, and related costs.
• Define shared data models and metric definitions for internal and customer-facing reporting.
• Establish standards for testing, documentation, monitoring, on-call, access controls, and data privacy.
• Build and lead the data organization, beginning with the Senior Analytics Engineer, including hiring and people development.
• Set the data roadmap, make architecture and build-versus-buy decisions, and partner with Engineering, Product, Ops, and Customer teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar field, including 4+ years leading data teams.
• End-to-end ownership of data from ingestion through reporting.
• Experience building a data function from an early or messy state, growing the team, and keeping it operational.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Dagster, or similar tools.
• Experience hiring effectively, including senior team members.
• Ability to turn business requests for better data into a plan and explain or defend trade-offs with leadership.
• Comfort working hands-on initially and delegating as the team grows.
