Senior Enterprise Risk Analyst (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid; candidates must be located near Long Beach, Denver, or Washington, D.C., and work onsite at least 3 days per week.

Base salary: $135,000–$185,000 in Denver; $140,000–$195,000 in Long Beach or Washington, D.C., plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Assess enterprise risks across cyber, compliance, program, supply chain, and other domains using shared exposure, impact, and criticality scales.
• Determine when business objectives require assessments or new risk programs and maintain complete, current risk registers.
• Write executive decision documents, propose risk appetite thresholds, and establish standing rules for risk acceptance.
• Test and improve risk scoring models and translate ERM Doctrine into methods used across domains.
• Brief executives, facilitate risk decisions, and surface dissent before decisions close.
• Design risk intake, routing, and recording processes; create standards, automate monitoring, and coach senior analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, cybersecurity, risk management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of risk experience in defense, aerospace, technology, or another regulated industry, including building a risk program or method adopted by others.
• Expert knowledge of enterprise risk methods, scoring calibration, and how risk informs company planning and program governance.
• Experience rating risk against a defined method and explaining results and uncertainty to non-specialist leaders.
• Ability to start from a business objective, determine the appropriate response, and build the solution with little direction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including bottom-line-first executive writing.
• Working knowledge of U.S. Government contracting obligations, including DFARS, ITAR, EAR, CUI handling, and NIST SP 800-171.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance.

Nice to have

• Active DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance and SAP eligibility.
• Experience supporting space or missile defense programs, including MDA, SDA, Space Systems Command, or Golden Dome.
• Risk experience in aerospace or defense, including program, supply chain, or third-party risk.
• Experience applying quantitative methods such as FAIR.
• Familiarity with ISO 31000, COSO ERM, AS9100D, NIST SP 800-53, or CMMC.
• Experience with a risk register or GRC platform and data analysis in Python or SQL.
