Software Engineer, Developer Products (AI)

Salary: $215K–$285K plus equity

What you will do

• Own and evolve the public REST API, including design, ergonomics, versioning, errors, and rate limiting.
• Build and maintain TypeScript and Python client SDKs and lead upcoming SDK launches.
• Ship and expand the Agent SDK for multi-step, agentic workloads.
• Develop documentation, examples, and starter repositories as core developer products.
• Make APIs and SDKs accessible to AI coding agents and collaborate with DevRel, Product, and Platform teams on ecosystem gaps.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building external-facing developer products, including APIs, SDKs, or widely used developer platforms.
• Strong API and SDK design skills with experience shipping developer-integrated libraries.
• Strong TypeScript skills.
• Interest in AI-forward workflows and agentic systems.
• High agency, bias toward action, and ability to identify and ship improvements independently.
• Ability to own a product line in a small company with fluid team boundaries.
• Strong written communication; documentation, changelogs, and SDK reference material are part of the role.
• Pragmatic judgment when balancing speed and simplicity.

Nice to have

• Experience at developer-centric companies.
• Hands-on experience designing or maintaining agent SDKs or other agentic developer tooling.
• hirify.global usage, open-source contributions, or AI tooling side projects.
