Senior Data Architect (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Lead solution design and architectural decisions for medium to large engagements involving enterprise data platforms, pipelines, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Assess existing architectures, identify gaps, define future-state roadmaps, and produce system diagrams, integration maps, architecture decision records, and technical standards.
• Guide engineering teams through implementation, contribute hands-on during critical phases, and mentor engineers on architectural decisions.
• Facilitate discovery workshops and translate client business requirements into scalable system designs.
• Evaluate cloud data platforms, frameworks, and third-party integrations while designing distributed pipelines, composable platforms, and API-first ecosystems.
• Support data-source integrations, governance, security, privacy, compliance, technical pre-sales, RFP responses, SOW development, and executive presentations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software or data engineering experience, including 2+ years focused on architecture or solution design.
• Broad expertise across cloud infrastructure, APIs, data platforms, and modern technology ecosystems.
• Deep expertise in cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift, including the ability to explain architectural trade-offs.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and ETL.
• Experience designing scalable, maintainable distributed systems and enterprise-scale API ecosystems.
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into data pipelines, with exposure to generative AI applications, AI-powered coding tools, agentic engineering, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Experience applying data governance, privacy compliance, and security best practices.
• Ability to work directly with client technical teams, translate business needs into architecture, and act as a trusted technical advisor.
• Experience presenting architecture artifacts to technical and executive audiences, with strong stakeholder management and consensus-building skills across engineering, business, and creative teams.
