Director, Technology Strategy and Architecture (High-Speed Hardware Systems)

What you will do

• Define and drive PSG’s long-term technology vision, architecture strategy, innovation roadmap, and 3–5 year technology roadmap.
• Develop system architecture and technical standards across hardware, firmware, software, and system platforms, enabling technology reuse and scalable product families.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, build-buy-partner opportunities, technology tradeoffs, custom silicon initiatives, and lifecycle transitions.
• Lead high-speed circuit simulations, design reviews, system design, and resolution of critical technical challenges across product programs.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and executive leadership on product strategy, customer engagements, strategic planning, and technical evaluations.
• Represent PSG in industry forums and standards bodies while maintaining standards documentation and restricted technical repositories.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; MS or PhD preferred.
• 15+ years of engineering leadership experience, including at least 10 years of system or board-level design experience developing and leading high-end, high-speed complex platforms.
• At least 5 years managing cross-platform engineering teams.
• Excellent knowledge of high-speed design methodologies and simulation at 20 Gbps or higher, including PCIe, USB, SAS/SATA, video, and/or Ethernet bus technologies.
• Excellent knowledge of FPGA and/or chip design methodologies, RF/microwave design techniques, high-speed circuit implementation, and measurements.
• Demonstrated success delivering hardware and software products and developing multi-year technology roadmaps.
• Strong executive communication, cross-functional influence, and development-process implementation skills across global engineering organizations.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, product transition into manufacturing, EMC/EMI control methods, schematic-entry tools, and test and measurement equipment including high-speed real-time oscilloscopes, network/spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
• Strong holistic system development experience and a collaborative approach to sharing knowledge and supporting other organizational groups.
