PR Senior Account Director, Health

Location: 100% remote; work from anywhere in the world

What you will do

• Serve as the primary client contact, build relationships, understand business objectives, and provide strategic counsel.
• Develop and execute PR strategies and campaigns for healthcare and pharmaceutical clients.
• Lead, mentor, and support account teams, including staffing decisions and workflow management.
• Manage client budgets, resources, annual planning, deadlines, and campaign quality.
• Build healthcare and pharmaceutical media relationships, secure coverage, and manage media inquiries.
• Oversee content development, campaign reporting, performance analysis, and new business proposals, presentations, and pitches.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of PR experience, with the majority in an agency setting.
• At least 7 years in a team leadership role, including budget and staffing responsibilities.
• Experience managing and mentoring teams, conducting annual reviews, and identifying skills gaps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, AP writing standards, and high-level media pitching skills.
• Deep understanding of the healthcare and pharmaceutical media landscape, including FDA approvals and regulations.
• Established media contacts and a record of securing top-tier media coverage.
• Strong client service and relationship-building skills, including coaching and influencing C-suite stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with experience in inclusive communication, team workflow management, and reporting.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
