C++ Embedded Engineer (Firmware)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded C++ software for camera-based security devices.
• Debug and resolve complex software, hardware, and network connectivity issues across the full software stack.
• Develop new features, improve existing codebases, and optimize performance for resource-constrained environments.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and participate in architecture and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate with QA on comprehensive testing strategies and document software designs, APIs, libraries, and troubleshooting procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial embedded development experience, including expertise in C++17 and deep knowledge of RTOS and ARM or RISC-V microcontroller architectures.
• Professional SDLC experience with Git, CMake, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Strong understanding of network programming and multithreading on multicore microcontrollers.
• Expertise in I2C, SPI, UART, and Wi-Fi communication interfaces, with experience writing device drivers and libraries.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex projects.
• Excellent communication skills for technical discussions and documentation, plus a collaborative cross-functional mindset.
• Intermediate English, B1, in both written and spoken communication.

• Python experience for scripting and automation.
• Experience with C in embedded development.
• Understanding of security protocols and encryption methods.
• Experience using AI-powered tools to improve productivity and code quality.
