Senior Software Engineer - Mobile (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States

Base salary: $190,000–$230,000 annually, depending on U.S. location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Build and ship mobile experiences for employees and 401(k) plan administrators across iOS and Android.
• Architect a modular mobile codebase from scratch with concurrency, dependency management, testability, and maintainability.
• Use AI coding agents across the development lifecycle and shape agentic engineering workflows and quality standards.
• Solve mobile fintech challenges involving real-time balances, secure authentication, biometrics, and sensitive financial data.
• Own CI/CD, phased App Store and Play Store releases, feature flags, automated UI testing, telemetry, crash-free rates, and app ratings.
• Partner with Design and backend engineers on accessibility, data visualization, API contracts, backend-driven UI, and native versus cross-platform direction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production software, including shipping and owning consumer mobile apps through multiple App Store and Play Store release cycles.
• Deep expertise in native mobile development with Swift and SwiftUI or Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, or cross-platform development with React Native, Flutter, or Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance, testing, data structures, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience owning features end to end from technical design through release and iteration in a cross-functional environment.
• Hands-on, regular production use of agentic coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor, with sound judgment about their appropriate use.
• Knowledge of device farms, automated UI testing with XCUITest, Espresso, or Appium, client-side telemetry with Sentry, Firebase, or Datadog, and API contract design.
• Ability to write secure, accessible, well-tested, and maintainable code; strong communication, product sense, ownership, and mentoring skills.
• Typically a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience taking a mobile app from 0 to 1.
• Experience in fintech, security-sensitive applications, or regulated domains.
• Interest in working with Node, TypeScript, Kotlin, and AWS backend technologies.
