Frontend Engineer - Mobile (React Native)

Location: Remote from anywhere in Canada

hirify.global is a real-money gaming product company founded in 2022, offering Picks, Social Sportsbook, Social Casino, Arcade, and other gaming products to users across multiple US states.

What you will do

• Build and ship React Native features for sportsbook, casino, fantasy, and arcade applications across iOS, Android, and web.
• Implement complex market layouts, betting slips, player props, lobbies, gesture-driven interactions, and physics-based animations.
• Create canvas-based graphics and dynamic effects for player cards and game visualizations.
• Build WebSocket subscriptions and synchronize live odds, match updates, notifications, and local application state.
• Implement deep linking, payment flows, in-app purchases, bank transfers, and verified card entry.
• Debug platform-specific issues, optimize animation and rendering performance, maintain E2E automation tests, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• 2+ years building production React Native applications for iOS and Android.
• Strong TypeScript skills and experience with modern patterns.
• Experience with Reanimated, including shared values, worklets, and gesture handlers.
• A track record of shipping polished, production-quality mobile applications.
• Experience debugging platform-specific issues and understanding mobile performance optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience in sports betting, gaming, or fintech.
• Canvas-based graphics experience with React Skia or a similar technology.
• Real-time data architecture experience, including WebSocket management or GraphQL subscriptions.
• React Native Web or other multi-platform experience.
• Experience with design system tooling such as Storybook or visual regression testing.
• Payment integration experience, including IAP and 3DS verification.
• E2E mobile testing experience.
