Senior macOS Developer (Objective-C)

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine; flexible hybrid work model.

hirify.global is a large Nordic technology company providing digital and software services. The role supports a leading photo-processing software publisher developing a cross-platform solution.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain a cross-platform photo-processing application for macOS.
• Investigate issues independently, propose solutions, and implement tested code.
• Work with large, long-lived codebases and multi-framework Xcode workspaces.
• Perform debugging, profiling, memory management, Core Data, and GCD/concurrency work.
• Use AI coding agents for code investigation, testing, refactoring, and critical evaluation of generated results.
• Deliver code through a code review process as part of an international team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production Objective-C experience with AppKit/Cocoa and a proven track record.
• Strong proficiency in Objective-C.
• Solid experience with modern C++ (C++17 or later).
• Experience with large, long-lived codebases, multi-framework Xcode workspaces, Core Data, GCD/concurrency, memory management, debugging, and profiling.
• Ability to independently investigate issues, propose and implement solutions, and deliver tested code through code review.
• Full working proficiency in English.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents, preferably Claude Code, for daily development tasks including code investigation, testing, refactoring, and critical evaluation of AI-generated results.

Nice to have

• Swift knowledge.
• Experience developing desktop image-processing or photo-editing applications, or other performance-sensitive desktop software.
• Experience with unit and acceptance testing frameworks such as XCTest, OCMock, or GoogleTest, and familiarity with continuous integration workflows.
• Experience shipping Mac applications with notarized direct distribution.
