Team Lead (Mobile Apps)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands. Workplace: Hybrid.

What you will do

• Lead a team of full-stack engineers and drive delivery while balancing speed, quality, and maintainability.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor engineers while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team.
• Own key systems, define technical direction, and shape the team roadmap.
• Prioritize work, resolve complex technical challenges, and promote engineering best practices.
• Oversee project timelines, deliverables, resource allocation, quality, and budget.
• Collaborate with Product and cross-functional teams to align goals, execute OKRs, and communicate progress, risks, and technical direction.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role such as Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating large-scale production systems, including writing and reviewing high-quality code.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, RDBMS, NoSQL, message queues, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Data-driven approach with the ability to analyze information, make informed decisions, and improve team productivity in an agile environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and people leadership skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Passion for building products and solving complex engineering challenges.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with security, cryptography, or machine learning.
