Senior FP&A Analyst / Finance Business Partner (AI)

Location: Cologne, Germany; full-time office-based role, with individually arranged work-from-home options where office presence is not required and up to 20 days per year anywhere in the EU.

What you will do

• Coordinate and continuously improve Group-wide financial planning and forecasting processes.
• Own planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance-management cycles for Human Resources and Pharma Operations.
• Prepare monthly performance analyses, variance reports, management presentations, and Group-level HR reporting covering headcount and personnel costs.
• Analyse financial performance, operational KPIs, and cost drivers to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas.
• Partner with HR and Pharma Operations leadership, challenge assumptions, and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Develop business cases, scenario models, and financial-impact assessments for investments, transformation programmes, and growth initiatives while using Pigment, automation, and AI-driven solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Approximately four to six years of experience in FP&A, business controlling, financial analysis, or a comparable role.
• Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and business-case development.
• Solid financial-modelling skills and ability to turn complex data into practical insights and recommendations.
• High proficiency in Excel and experience with analytical tools such as Power Query, Power Pivot, or similar solutions.
• Confident communication and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders, cross-functional colleagues, and international teams.
• Curiosity, proactivity, and comfort constructively challenging established assumptions.
• Continuous focus on improving processes through technology, automation, and AI.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pigment or another enterprise planning platform.
