Embedded Software Engineer (Relocation to Poland, IoT Firmware)

Location: Relocation to Gdansk, Poland required; working hours listed as EST.

Minimum gross base salary: €4,666.67 monthly.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain embedded C/C++ firmware for Ring devices.
• Specify and develop embedded subsystems for connectivity, streaming, power management, sensors, and security.
• Work across architecture, implementation, code review, device testing, and production release.
• Collaborate with hardware, QA, cloud, and application teams on integrated product experiences.
• Debug hardware-software issues using JTAG, UART, and protocol analyzers.
• Participate in technical design discussions and cross-team architecture decisions.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience with computer architecture, embedded wireless systems, and embedded development in C or C++.
• Familiarity and experience with ARM CPUs.
• Extensive experience writing low-level drivers, interrupt service routines, and troubleshooting or debugging hardware.
• Experience shipping embedded products to production and taking products from prototype to deployment at scale.
• Ability to communicate proactively, identify technical risks early, and drive solutions across teams.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with commercial wireless protocols such as BLE or WiFi.
• Experience developing and testing firmware for battery-powered products.
